Weekly Recruiting Update, 9/3
|Class of 2014:
Quentin Snider (PG): He was offered by Michigan State early this past week and his dad said that they will be visiting their at some point. Per Steve Jones. He cut his list to seven on Thursday. The final seven are UConn, UCLA, Michigan State, Illinois, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, and USC. Per Evan Daniels.
Bonzie Colson (PF): UConn really hasn’t been contacting him lately but UConn has always been one of his dream schools. Per Dave Borges. He did cut his list down to nine schools this past week. His final nine are UConn, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Miami, Georgetown, Minnesota, Florida State,Temple, and George Washington. Per New England Recruiting Report.
Terry Larrier (SF): He unofficially visited UConn this past Tuesday. Per Coast 2 Coast Hoops. All articles and reports about the visit said that it was great.
Kameron Chatman (SF): His commitment will likely come down to his other four schools. However, UConn still has a chance to get an official visit. Per Scout.
Paschal Chukwu (C): It was reported that he was down to St. Joe’s and Providence and that was confirmed. He also committed to Providence this past week. Per himself.
Devin Robinson (SF): A week after cutting his list to five he scheduled all of his official dates. He will be visiting UConn the weekend of October 19th which means he will likely be in attendance for UConn’s Midnight Madness. Per Scout.
Kyle Kuzma (SF): He was offered by UConn in July but it didn’t seem like he received much interest afterwards. This past week he committed to Utah. Per himself.
Lance Tejada Jr. (PG): He committed to East Carolina on his official visit. He never was offered but had been receiving some interest. Per Reggie Rankin.
Chinanu Onuaku (C): Right now Louisville is his leader but he may visit UConn officially. UConn is in the running with Maryland, Xavier, and Georgetown for one of his last two official visits. Per his coach.
Kelly Oubre (SF): Kansas seems to be the team to beat for Oubre. Per Scout.
Jordan McLaughlin (PG): His recruitment has come down to four schools, USC, UCLA, Kansas, and Indiana. Per Scout.
Class of 2015:
Tyler Dorsey (PG): His early leaders are UConn, Duke, Arizona, UCLA, Kansas, USC, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Stanford, California, Arizona State, and UNLV. Per Dinos Trigonis.
Chance Camanche (C): It looks like his early leader is Oregon. Per Scout. However, it doesn’t look like he wants to decide soon so UConn still has a good shot.
Class of 2016:
Vance Jackson (SF): His early leaders are UConn, UCLA, Arizona, Washington, Kansas, California, Stanford, Iowa, and Gonzaga. Per Dinos Trigonis.
