Weekly Recruiting Update, 10/7
Class of 2014:
Melvin Swift Jr. (PF): He will no longer be visiting this upcoming weekend because his mom wants to make the trip with but she can’t then. He is trying to get it rescheduled soon. Per himself.
Sam Cassell Jr. (PG): The staff watched him workout last Tuesday. Per Dave Borges. He then cut his list down to UConn and Louisville towards the end of last week. Per Next Up Recruits. The staff was again out watching him on Saturday. Per Dave Borges. UConn’s main competition for Cassell, Louisville, stopped recruiting him. Per Jody Demling.
Ray Kasongo (PF): He committed to Oregon on Wednesday. Per Corey Evans. However, early Thursday morning he had a change of heart and de-committed from Oregon. Per himself. Then UConn decided to move on from Kasongo mad has stopped recruiting him. Per Corey Evans.
Bonzie Colson (PF): He cut UConn from his list and will not be officially visiting. Per Dave Borges.
Kelly Oubre (SF): His top schools are Kansas and Kentucky. Per Scout.
Class of 2015:
Jessie Govan (C): He made it official and tweeted out that he will be visiting UConn on the 18th of October, the day of UConn’s Midnight Madness. Per himself.
Malachi Richardson (SG): He will be visiting for Midnight Madness. Per himself.
Donovan Mitchell (PG): He is expected to be at Midnight Madness as well. Per Dave Borges. UConn, Providence, Boston College, Cincinnati, Iona, Iowa, Maryland, and Syracuse are currently after him. Per Scout.
Jarred Reuter (PF): He will also be in attendance at Midnight Madness. Per Dave Borges. In addition to UConn; Providence, Boston College, Florida, Indiana, North Carolina, Rutgers, and St. John’s are after him. Per Scout.
Carlton Bragg (PF): Coach Hobbs was at his practice on Sunday. Per Corey Evans.
Curtis Cobb (SG): He will also be at Midnight Madness. Per himself.
Dikembe Dixson (SF): Someone from the staff was in to watch him recently. Per Adam Zagoria. He’s someone to watch for. He could potentially become a major target for the staff.
Doral Moore (C): The staff has watched him within the last month and offered. Per Rivals.
Jalen Adams (PG): The schools currently after him are UConn, Providence, Boston College, Butler, Creighton, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas State, Minnesota, and Rhode Island. Per Scout.
Aaron Falzon (PF): He’s currently being recruited by UConn, Providence, Boston College, Duke, Maryland, Georgia, UMASS, Ohio State, Rutgers, Stanford, and UCLA. Per Scout.
Josh Sharma (C): The schools that are currently recruiting him are UConn, Providence, Boston College, Davidson, Harvard, Kansas State, UMASS, Oklahoma State, Maryland, and Stanford. Per Scout.
Prince Ali (SG):The schools currently recruiting him the hardest right now are UConn, Georgetown, Illinois, Florida, Miami, and Nebraska. Per Rivals.
