Recruiting update – MiKyle McIntosh
|by 3UConn
UConn has offered 2013 shooting guard/small forward/power forward MiKyle McIntosh, a player out of Pickering Ontario. He is 6’6″ 230lbs.
I definitely don’t see him being a college four man with his height. He is very athletic and can handle the ball well. He finishes through contact due to his strength and he can elevate. He is built so he could post up other players at his position. In high school, he is a big man and can block shots, most come from the weak side as they most likely would in college. With that being said, I see him being a small forward in college if his shot doesn’t improve more. His shot is his weakest aspect of his game but if he improves that he could end up being a shooting guard with his good handle, size, and strength.
His stock went way up in December when he averaged 28 points, 11 boards and 7 assists during a tournament in Toronto. MiKyle isn’t highly rated; he’s mostly rated a two or three star player. He has reported offers from St. Bonaventure, Miami(Fl), Duquesne, Charlotte, UCLA, Fresno State, Oregon, Seton Hall among others. He officially visited UCLA this past week. He also is getting looks from schools like Louisville, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Kansas among others.
