From Russia With Love?

Move over Svetlana Abrosimova, there’s a new Russian in town! His name is Philippe Okounam and he comes to Storrs via Moscow (where he was born), Quebec, and most recently the St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire. He’s a defensive end who comes in at 6’5″ and somewhere between 255-260 lbs. Since all of us are wondering, he is unrated by Rivals and doesn’t even have a page on Scout or 247Sports, at least not one that I could find.

However, I took that as a challenge to see how much information I could actually find out about him. I found a hudl page that says he runs a 4.73 40-yard dash, has a 32″ vertical, can bench 365, and can squat 405. I also discovered his Badoo page…don’t ask me what that is because I have no idea, but here it is. There you can find out some of his interests: football, fitness, Adrian Peterson, and listening to music. What kind of music, you ask? Drake, Lil Wayne, 2Pac, Chief Keef, Electro House, The Weekend Xo, House music, Oddfuture, Hip Hop, Rap, and ASAP Rocky. I guess we can add the UConn fight song to the list!
