These are the teams that that you think are the best, not your favorite teams.

Mine:

1. 1999
2. 2004
3. 1996
4. 1995
5. 2009
6. 1990
7. 2011
8. 2014
9. 2006
10. 1998

I was tempted to go with '94 or '02 over '98 at the end, but that '98 team was made up of pretty much the entire bulk of the '99 team that is #1 on my list. I guess the 2011 and 2014 championship teams could be higher on my list, but I just think those are other teams are a bit better, not a knock against the championship teams at all.

This ought to fry some people. How about the 63-64 team........................Defeated Princeton, with Hall of Fame player Bill Bradley, went to the "elite 8" before being routed by Duke. Yeah they did not win it all, but they went further than any other team before them, and since until the final 4 teams. 64-65, Toby Kimball, the late Wes B., Penders, Holowaty etc. Great team was knocked out in first round by St. Josephs. As mentioned you youngsters have to remember that there was basketball being played in Storrs before Calhoun, and it was good basketball too.

I was a senior on campus for the 63-64 season and loved the team and some of those games. Especially 43-41 over Rhode Island in the Field House. The 64-65 team was the absolute best to that point and for many years afterward. I was working in Stamford that season at American Cyanamid Company. I went to the Garden and saw us beat Manhattan in OT not missing a single shot in the extra period. At the time Manhattan was leading the nation in field goal percentage. That we shot 100% in OT was ironic.

I have no doubt that those teams were very, very good. I couldn't put them on my list because I never saw them play, even highlights.
