Yes, this is an appreciation thread. Also a response to most of us who believe that fan mojo matters.

Let's build that collective mojo and list your favorite AK moment(s) since he became a Husky.

He'll be in our colors for a while longer but let's give this legend the praise he deserves every, single, day.

22-23 season, against Alabama, AK was top of the key and no-looked a bullet to a cutting sanogo for 2. Walton was calling the game and I remember him praising this young kids awareness and ability to see the whole game.
I remember feeling that he is gonna be the ultimate glue guy.

Also, among many buzzer beaters, the 3 against Miami at the end of the half in the final four. You just knew

I actually just like watching him off the ball. I've written many times before about how he looks for contact and he uses those solid screens to cut once in a while and get wide open layups or dunks. Stewarts seems to be learning a little how to do this, but Ross, Ball and others need to figure out how you have to stick a guy and that roll to the basket will be open more.

If I have to pick one moment, then although I know he hit clutch shots to seal games, it's the 3 pointer on a poor shooting night to give Newton his last triple-double.

His 3 clutch buckets against Texas at MSG last year. Believe it was a floater, a post fade, and a pull-up jumper

Also love the touchdown pass against Arkansas in 2023, Karaban full court pass to Andre right into an alley oop to Clingan

The Miami buzzer beater is definitely up there too

I was at the final four and championship game last year.

In the championship against Purdue, while we had control, I never really felt comfortable because of the foul trouble, until AK hit a corner three right in front of me and I knew that was the moment we were going back to back.

Obviously not my photo but this was the shot.

I always liked when he had to defend Edey late in the 2nd half in the national title game last year. It exemplified how much of a UConn guy he is.

I was on a date tonight and all I could think about was training into Manhattan, walking to MSG absolutely loaded up, and hearing nonstop “3 pt goal, Alex Karaban!”

I kicked her out so I could watch this video:

I could watch the dunk near the end of the 30-0 run when Terrance Shannon tries to undercut him on a continuous loop. That's also where they cut away to the UConn fan in shock. It pretty much summed up the entire dominating run last year in one clip.

I know it’s an AK thread but DC really busted it down the floor to be in position to throw down that pass from Andre. His awareness by the end of his freshman year was amazing when you think all the experts thought he was supposed to be a project…..

Sure. I mean, at this point, the way he’s shooting he should get blackout drunk, wait til closing and then latch onto the biggest gal in the place. And his teammates suck if they’re not on board with it.

You gotta aim high if you’re in his position. Taking down a rogue battle oxe in the corner of the bar delivers you nothing but regret the next morning.

Our king needs to be treated like a king.

Taking a day or 2 off from shooting 3’s and working certainly can’t worsen things. He’s on the ground floor for 3’s.Skip the shoot around too and see what happens.
