For those of you that have been around UConn WCBB and follow the recruitment, does anyone know who was the youngest (grade) Geno has ever offered?

Rebecca Lobo Rushin's daughter at 1 day. ;)

While Geno's rush to offer Rebecca Lobo Rushin's 1 day old daughter is noteworthy, it does not eclipse the record rumored to be held by the current University of Louisville women's basketball head coach Jeff Walz who is said to have offered a potential recruit that was "still in the womb." Walz says he likes to be "the first" to offer potential recruits that he really likes a scholarship. :D

STOCKTON -- Jacki Gemelos made history
with the nation's top collegiate women's basketball team before ever stepping
foot on campus. Gemelos, a 15-year-old who will be a junior at St. Mary's this
year, is believed to be the youngest player to commit to the University of Connecticut.

Maybe at the time, but I still think Charli Collier was an 8th grader when she committed. Of course, like Jackie Gemelos, she also de-committed later, which suggests that you actually don’t want young kids committing because so many things in their young lives can— and do change— as they get older.

And I assume we’re talking about unofficial commitments too.

Collier verbally committed to UConn in Nov. 2016 which was early in her junior year as she was class of 2018.

Right you are. I knew she had committed in 8th grade, but forgot that it was originally to Texas.
