18. Finally, we may be looking at a new frontrunner for National Coach of the Year: UConn’s Jim Mora. First, the Huskies snapped an 18-game FBS losing streak. On Saturday, they beat Boston College 13-3 to earn their first win in six years over a Power 5 opponent (and first ever against BC). UConn, which went 10-50 from 2016-21, is now 4-5 on the season, with winnable games remaining against UMass and Army.

There’s a very real scenario where UConn makes a bowl game this season and Texas A&M does not.

I believe we are already at the point where we are going to pay less per win this season based off of Mora's ENTIRE staff cost than TAMU will have paid based on Jimbo's salary ALONE.
