Xavier Game Day Haiku Thread

The haiku thread is
The only place where I will
Abide compelled speech.

That said, I really
Want to mess this up and ruin
Hans' perfection dreams.

But I can't do it.
However, I will ask for
A judge's ruling:

Is it Zay-vee-er
Or Zayv-yer? Did Waquoit ruin
The thread already?

No Freemantle means
This Musketeers squad is just
A Mickey Mouse club.

Mission accomplished
Unsure if intentional
Nice job either way

Foot stays on gas, yes?
Unranked foes still chase the prize
Relentless pursuit

Ha! Unintended.
U I is a dipthong here
Thus one syllable

It's a strange word, no?
Most say, "You rooned it," but then
Say "Roo-in-nay-shun"

That's my defense and
I'm sticking to it. But good
To add the debate!
I don't know how they
Speak in Pittsburgh so maybe
A solid defense

However, my friend -
Who goes by the name "Google" -
Says "ruin" is two

Our shared love for Cam
Makes me overlook this, plus
That's a job for Hans

Hans says to avoid
Ambiguities, but how
We're playing Xa-vier?

And now ru-in too?
What are we going to do?
Huskies know, just win.

"Roon X-ay-vi-er" ?
Or, is it "Roo-in Zayv-yer" ?
Or, "Zay-vi-er roons" ?

That's why I avoid
ambiguity. But here,
it abounds, don't it?

@storrsroars gets his way
One gives and one takes away
It all evens out

How can this happen?
Winning cures ev-er-y-thing
One game at a time

Hans's possessive
Takes an extra syllable
So you got your wish

Ha! Unintended.

At today years old
I learned how to spell "diphthong"
from autocorrect

All is not haiku
But it affects the mojo
If you think it does

No foul in this case
Just surprised to learn it's like
"Ophthalmology"

Foot stays on gas, OK?
Unranked foes still chase the prize
Relentless pursuit
Neither "okay" nor
"Oklahoma" counts as a
Single syllable
