Every game UConn has been at a disadvantage.

Opponents have WR's bigger, stronger and faster than UConn DB's.

And every game UConn WR's can't get separation from opposing DB's.

Speed kills and UConn doesn't have that functional, game speed.
It’s true, but we can run a power game and leverage what we can do well. Why we even have TEs is beyond me. Why we don’t play action under center, run interior counters, pass to the soft middle at 12-15 yards, etc is all beyond me. Put in a darn FB in 2 back set, use your TEs, and pound away. Running spread with a slow group is a formula for failure.

On D, we have to manage contain. Our DEs|OLBs are constantly out of position and getting leveraged. Our D line does gets pressure but is too slow to close the deal. Jackson needs to be on center not positioned to the strong side outside the DT. He can’t hunt the QB run option from there and nobody is supporting him from behind. We are SLOW, so you better get pressure fast . This means bring extra guys and take the risk on big plays. If done well, the O timing is disrupted and speed is negated.
