So a Rutgers or Maryland both have pretty successful programs. So does Norte Dame. While I suppose any of those could have an opening, they don’t currently and aren’t expected to. Then there are schools who don’t really care that much. BC was considering dropping the baseball program a few years ago and replacing it with Lacrosse. Their run to a super regional kind of put an end to that, They just opened Pelligrini Field, but still, I’m not sure they care that much to shell out big money for a coach. I don’t really know much about WVU other than they had a few solid teams recently. There is also a thing in college sports about fit. Partly it is recruiting, partly it is culture.
