Women's refs

As bad as the refs were last night the refs in the women's game are on another level. Already a bunch of bad calls, the charge on Hartley and the jump ball when Stewart blocked the girl are just unbelievably bad calls. Luckily the refs shouldn't have any effect on the outcome because UConn is so much better than Louisville.

Great call. It's tough-I know they want to increase the number of female refs and you need to give them some high-profile games to show their stuff, but it's pretty obvious when they've given someone a call they weren't ready for.

They are just horrible and inconsistent to say the least.

Some of these calls are beyond laughable.

I know they want to increase the number of female refs and you need to give them some high-profile games to show their stuff, but it's pretty obvious when they've given someone a call they weren't ready for.

Don't know if it's the same for the men, but they don't let any refs who do the Final Four work the Championship game.

They had their best team work the UConn/ND game, for good reason, as it was the most important game of the 3.

Yeah I had to chuckle when everyone was saying that last nights officials were the worst ever. Thy would be average for WCBb. Even tonight's officials weren't that bad. I've seen a lot worse.

It would be a long arguement to try to pick the worst women's BB refs. Is this the best they could do for a NCC game? It doesn't even aggrevate me anymore, I just expect it.

Basically they are "clueless".....it's sad. They should bring in real refs for the finals so it can be called right. The 2 offensive fouls in the first half in a 2 minute stretch may have ben the worst calls EVER......Hartley flying over half court with the dribble and the defender reaching in with the right hand and gets knocked over, offensive foul?? And then Jefferson drops off a pass top of the key to KML and cuts through the middle and runs into a defender who does not see her, and is sideways to boot and they get tangled and yet another offensive foul? There were not even close - they are representative of the cluelessness of womens refs, ridiculous guessing and make up calls every game!

Skylar Diggins got star treatment the last few years, far above what even somebody like Griner got. I think it's because she's blazing hot. That sort of thing wouldn't surprised me in the least!

yea, once the blow out occurs, the winning team can be beaten up.

Some players do get star calls. Alana Beard and Candace Parker always did too. I'm not sure if its the attractiveness thing though, Bria Hartley's adorable..and teams have to literally assault her before the ref will blow the whistle. (And they might call it on Bria.)
