Women's college basketball 2020-21 Big 10 predictions

Let's be honest here, she gets her fair share of bashing (and rightfully so more often than not) but what Brenda continues to do and the very unorthodox way she goes about it is simply a marvel to watch unfold. How she stays on top is amazing but yet she does. The Big10 has been very, very good to her. I just hope I am paying attention when she eventually craters....

That said, it is nice to see Indiana up there. Same for Michigan and Northwestern. I think MSU is a bit overrated...

It will be a three team race this season. Maryland do have the potential to be a monster next season though.

Next season? The Terps have one recruit 6'0" Sellers, a guard from Ohio in 2021. Why or how will they be a "monster" then?

Chloe Bibby is eligible to play next season. Reese, Young and Kozlova will be sophomores, Owusu, Miller and Collins will be juniors. They'll get a really, really good international prospect in 6'3" Emma Chardon. That a very good start. It is possible that other good news could come as well.

Very good, most probably, "monsters"? Doubtful as that doesn't occur very much. Plus you have the "Brenda transfer factor" so let's see a season occur without defections. As far as you last insinuation...NOT GONNA HAPPEN-UConn ALL THE WAY! :D

I don't think Bibby is going to move the needle much, but an older Maryland roster will be formidable.

That Indiana group knows what they're doing. If they're returning all their contributors as the article implies they have a shot.

Hayes:

The Big Ten hasn't been at a national championship level in a long time. The conference has not produced a Final Four team other than Maryland since 2005. And while there is room to argue about what separates a trend from an anomaly, Maryland didn't reach the Sweet 16 in either of its two most recent tournament appearances.

There is, in other words, more evidence of Maryland looking increasingly like the Big Ten than vice versa.

This says it for me. (But I wonder if Hayes would be so blunt if his employer had a contract with the B1G.)

I'm excited to see how they integrate and use Danielle Patterson. I read some articles that they see her as a big guard.
