HOF worthy? How about women's games? I mean she was inducted into their hall.Antonelli does a good job when she does the men's games. I enjoy listening to her then.
Why can't people just be f*ing happy for someone else? It boggles my mind how hard we try to find reasons not to.I'm not big on awards, rankings...and a lot of other stuff surrounding sports in general. But the HOF should carry the highest standards. Its inductees should tell the story of the sport...without many words. IMO...Deb Antonelli doesn't tell me anything.
Blink! Where did I say it was about name recognition? I know how long she has worked and longevity alone doesn't make someone HOF worthy...IMO. If all it took was time in a profession...every retiree would be a HOF in their own profession. This isn't about respect. I simply don't think whatever it is she supposed did in 34 years amounts to being in the HOF. I ASKED what people thought. I didn't ask anyone to agree with what I THOUGHT. It's okay if you disagree, BUT spare me the profane response. Can you agree to that? Why can't people just be f*ing happy for someone else? It boggles my mind how hard we try to find reasons not to.
If you look her up, you'd realize that she's been a part of, and an advocate for, women's basketball for about 40 years and was one of the first media presences. She's been recognized for her work and is well respected.
A Hall of Fame is to celebrate people that have had an impact in one way or another. Saying it's about name recognition is completely devaluing.
