[QUOTE="psconn, post: 2252634, member: 293"] A small quibble with your statement... I can't find any reference to Jonquel or anyone else saying she "came back a different player". If you can cite this, please post a link. I'd like to read it in context because I think the opposite is true. Coming into this season off her success in S.Korea, Jonquel was more confident, a bit stronger, leaner (too lean according to the Sun strength and conditioning coach), more experienced - all that, but in no way a different player. Jonquel's game and approach to it haven't changed, but like all 2nd year players she's getting better at it, and adjusting to the size, speed and grind of the league. Getting more opportunities due to Chiney's absence from the low post definitely helps. Jonquel is a motivated, hard working, coachable, and talented player. The increase in playing time without Chiney put some pressure and responsibility on her to perform. Because of who she is (and always was) she is stepping up. Her "per 40" stats this season are on track with her "per forty" numbers last season- 2016 - 19.4 P, 10.3 R, 3.2 B 2017 - 21.8 P, 16.8 R, 2.3 B Nothing "different" in Jonquel between 2016 and 2017... just a developing major talent in the W working hard to make the most of her opportunities.
