There will be a lot of movement this year in the WNBA. The new Las Vegas franchise (Aces) will undoubtedly be looking to make some player acquisitions after that group (the former San Antonio Stars) finished with the worse record in the league the last two years. WNBA coaches and general managers can often be seen at WCBB games looking for that diamond in the rough, or perhaps the steal of the draft. Who is available will also impact how teams draft for need in April, which will affect Gabby and Kia.
Following is a list of notable Core Players, Reserved Players, Restricted Free Agents and Unrestricted Free Agents that were on team rosters at the end of the 2017 WNBA season. Teams could begin to negotiate with their own Core and Reserved Players and any Restricted and Unrestricted Free Agents on January 15. Deals may not be finalized, and contracts and offer sheets may not be signed, until February 1.
