Ran across this article on Twitter - Introducing WNBA RAPM - Nylon Calculus
Basically, the author has calculated how many points per 100 possessions each player is worth based on a three-year sample that weighs the years by recency. It is calibrated so the average player has a 0.0 score.
The most recent data is for 2015, so these numbers take into account seasons 2013-2015. The top 10 for that period:
1. Maya Moore - 7.7
2. Elena Delle Donne - 7.0
3. Candace Parker - 6.7
4. Diana Taurasi - 5.9
5. Brittney Griner - 5.8
Ok, that makes sense. Now some more interesting findings.
6. Tamika Catchings - 5.7
7. Courtney Vandersloot - 4.8
8. Janel McCarville - 4.0
9. Brittany Boyd - 3.9
10. Tiffany Hayes - 3.8
Lastly - ratings for the remaining Olympic team members: Fowles - 2.9; McCoughtry - 2.5; Whalen - 2.4; Charles - 2.0; Augustus - 1.5; Bird - 0.2
