The name floating around Michigan boards is Joe Moorehead, OC at Penn State. Who are you all hearing? Who would be your realistic dream?

Sorry for the typo in the title. Big fingers and iPads don't mix sometimes.

Big discussion on our football board- my list is Al Golden, Joe Moorhead, Todd Orlando and Randy Edsall. I do not know enough about FCS coaches to give an informed opinion at this time.

Not sure if Moorehead wants to leave psu, since he has stated he's staying, but things change, as most asst coaches say one thing and do another.

And would you guys really want Golden? He couldn't bring Miami back to prominence.

Hard to hold the Miami thing against him since the Nevin Shapiro issue broke right after he accepted the job!!

Moorhead. If he gets hired, that'll send the football fanbase into delirium.

.-.
Definitely not Golden or Edsell.

Moorehead would be my first choice - offensive minded.

Orlando is a defensive specialist - not unless he can bring in an innovative and exciting OC.

sorry to disappoint the fans of the University of Michigan (a public university) but Rivals reported last week that Coach Moorehead will be back at State college again next season.

That was a situation that didn't hold him back in anyway. The guy used it to get an extension that he didn't deserve and then proceeded to flop at every opportunity. He did manage something that was pretty damn rare though, he produced a season that had more NFL draft picks than it did wins. The guy simply doesn't have it, period, and that is being kind.

Moorhead - yes, definitely
Orlando - good, but not sure how I feel about another defensive guy in an increasingly offense-heavy league
Golden - meh
Edsall - no, but not abject disaster
Miles - not a clue what to think, huge gamble. Obviously a proven winner, can recruit with the best, can get to and win big games. But Larry Coker also won a title, got fired, came back after a few years with UTSA (of course many steps below UConn) and fizzled out.

I think it will be an offensive minded coach but I'd be content with a defensive guy as long as he hired a good OC and let him do his job.

Can't be that rare. After all, Pasqualoni did it in 2013 (3 wins, 5 picks).

It might be very rare. Pasqualoni and Diaco may be exceptionally capable coaches at achieving such a statistic (when they've inherited the players).

I would love to see a coach who is young, has successful offenses on his resume and perhaps comes from a Big Time school.

Oh look...it's Joe(!!) Moorhead.

Yup, he is staying. Good for PSU and the Big10. The Big10 East is a beast right now.

Don't look now, it's Edsall. Oh my, it's deja vu all over again!

Hopefully, Edsall will work for you as well or better than he did before he left.
