-> Plans are for the new School of Nursing building to be located near the existing Brain Imaging Research Center, which is on Alethia Drive in Storrs, in alignment with the 2015-2035 Campus Master Plan, according to Reitz. <-

-> The project is funded partly through a $30 million bond package approved by the state General Assembly in 2023, and also through part of a $40 million gift from alumna and former nurse Elisabeth DeLuca, whose gift is the largest single donation in university history, according to the school.

The new building is part of the university’s 2015-2035 Campus Master Plan. It’s located at the corner of Bolton Road and Maple Lane, adjacent to existing clinical, academic and research space on the Storrs campus. <-

That's great. Damn that's a big donation!

“Thousands of prospective nurses apply every year to join the School of Nursing, and in August we welcomed our largest ever incoming class. But as our School has developed and our national reputation has continued to grow, we once again find ourselves in need of a new home,” said Dean of the School of Nursing Victoria Vaughan Dickson. “Not surprisingly, it was a UConn nurse who came to the rescue. The tremendous generosity of alumna Elisabeth DeLuca is enabling us not only to move into the first-ever purpose-built home for the School of Nursing, but to greatly expand our programmatic offerings and scholarship assistance.”
