I rail on Trey (see today's earlier thread) but every now and then he has a great line.

Roll tape of the game's early moments:

"We'd just like to point out that Kansas State was actually winning this game, briefly, at 3 to 2. Very briefly. And then they were not winning. And then they were not winning by a lot."

:D

[Edit: Eerily reminiscent of that wonderful character from yesteryear, "Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Film".]

Somebody whispered that in his ear.

Followed by, "...Then Uconn went on a 70 to 23 run."

It was either Nut or Peck who said at one point during the breakaway to HQ show that UConn was among the leaders in FG% defense. Just one of those hazily forgotten stats they are supposed to remember to try to look authoritative in the war room, but the point is, if you are the clear leader in FG% defense, can you be among yourself?

I will leave it to a French existentialist thinker to ponder this question and deliver a quasi-understandable answer.

Maybe Carolyn was beside herself! :)
