Nika Muhl’s status for the Final Four is uncertain. Why Geno Auriemma thinks the UConn women’s basketball team needs her back
Geno Auriemma isn't happy with the rotation as-is without freshman starter Nika Muhl in it. Muhl has been out since suffering a high-ankle sprain in the UConn women's basketball team's NCAA Tournament first-round game against High Point.

"Today she got on the court for the first time and went up and down a little bit, spent a little bit of time for the first time since whenever it happened and gave it a shot,” Auriemma said. “What that means is really nothing, because we need to see how she wakes up tomorrow morning, how it feels. But the fact that she could get out on the floor for just a little bit today is a real positive sign.”
“No, I’m not happy [with the rotation]. I’m not as happy as if we had Nika 100 percent,” he said. “If we had Nika 100 percent, we’re a different basketball team. Much different basketball team.”
