Why have local media cover us?

Need better coverage but fans don't demand better coverage is really it. As consumers we are given what we demand...and/or pay for.

This is what happens when there is a full week between games. There is nothing to talk about.

The Hartford Courant is a garbage rag BUT it's the only morning paper in this area
Gone are the days of Bill Lee and Owen Canfield - now you get inept sports beat writer like Desmond C and an editorial board that would have Stalin smiling
It's what you get when this exclusivity occurs and won't change because nobody in their right mind would start a newspaper these days
I don't watch the area TV channels so I have no opinion on how they report UConn sports

I think UConn could do a better job of making the players/coaches available to the media, but yeah, there really isn't much to report with a week between games. And given the circumstances of the transfers and where they ended up, it's an interesting read with nothing going on for the week.

Agree with first part. As far as former players or recruits go... they’re dead to me.
