Thank you for that. I am not a Huskies "fan" as much as I am lover of the game and have utmost respect for the UConn and their coaches, players and supporters. UConn has been at the top, almost untouchable, for a decade, and things weren't exactly shabby before. I read criticisms of rival coaches and opposing players and some are valid, but I hope most of you recognize how incredible this run is and how it's not comparable to anything done in men's or women's college basketball since UCLA. Huskies are at the Platinum level and no one else is close. That doesn't mean other programs don't have excellent coaches and players. I know why some fans don't care for Mulkey, McGraw, Staley, Freese, or Waltz, but all of them are terrific coaches who have built programs from scratch and all are deserving of top 10 accolades. Same goes for some of the players. I highly doubt UConn didn't recruit at least one or two of the players on these squads combined. Maybe they would be even better if they played at UConn, or maybe they made the best choice for them at that time. What's most important for any young person is to pick the path that's best for them and work their way towards their goals. Not trying to rant, just had a thought about this reading a post last week and it's been on my mind a few days. I hope to contribute more in the future and plan to visit. Congratulations again on your fine season.
