Why are we fanatics about UCONN women's basketball, besides the obvious

We love a winner, all the qualities that separate this team from most of its peers, such as diligence, sacrifice, focus, team play, unselfishness, athleticism, and the relentless pursuit of perfection. But there is I think something more that underlies our emotional commitment to this program: we are part of their family. The vast majority of Boneyarders passionately defend our team and players against any unjust comments, we diligently read thru any postings anywhere to be able to bring to light any comments about our family, and as a group Boneyarders are kind, funny, helpful (need directions, where to find a link, tickets, etc.) and fiercely protective. In essence, we are part of a family and we relish it, worry about how everyone is doing, and are enormously proud. It is a wonderful feeling to be part of something as unique and positive as UCONN women's basketball, and I think we have all executed our roles almost perfectly. Lets continue to seek perfection as the commenting about next years team begins. We love you as family, UCONN women.
