You might ask why start a new thread when the Evina - WNBA thread is active. Because I just saw a post-game interview where E said the team was embarrassed and disappointed in ourselves for not playing UConn basketball and that she was embarrassed for our alumni and fans. I felt so sorry for E who has given so much to this program.
Yes, they lost an important game but they have nothing to be embarrassed about. E was the glue for this young team that exceeded expectations and gave us many wonderful moments. Evina has shown grace, courage and maturity since transferring. If this had been a normal season the house would have been rocking and she would have witnessed the love the fans had for her and the team.
Whether she stays or goes pro E will be remembered as a beloved Husky, Hold your head high Evina and be proud of all you and this team accomplished.
