I love how this will be posted about here on the BY by our many serious WBB aficionados but in reality it doesn't matter until March.
So many things can and will change between now and then.
In fact with the Golden Domers having turned the corner yesterday, where will they be seeded come Big Dance time?????

I also don't understand why Charlie has UConn as the 2 seed and the Ducks as the 1 seed in Portland.
Basically because these two teams will have played each other during the regular season.
But on the other hand, the similar scenario between us and Louisville worked out ok last season (us being the 2 seed with the 1 seed having played us during the regular season).

But I still stand by my previous post in this thread!!!

They have a lot more work to do than beat a Miami team without their best player.

Looking over the Bracket, three things jumped out

1) Creme continues to disrespect my Aggies

2) The projection of a UCONN-Campbell matchup in the first round, if that came to fruition... My Camels

3) My Spartans are projected as #14 seed to face off vs Depaul

Wait, so Oregon lost to an unranked team and has more losses but moved up above UConn for seeds? hmmph. Not like this bracket will be the real one, but either way UConn would be in Portland so whatever.

The theory is that Oregon's resume has improved as a result of their decisive win over Stanford, which is certainly true. Ultimately, of course, you're right to say the lion's share of both resumes is still TBD:

UConn has three big games ahead against Tennessee, Oregon and South Carolina.

Oregon has a whole slew of big games left: two against Oregon State, at UConn, vs. the Arizona schools, at UCLA, and at Stanford, plus the Pac-12 tournament.

I didn't express myself very well.
My complaint is putting a 1 seed and a 2 seed that have played each other during the season BUT I guess I would have the same issue if we were put together with SC or Baylor, so...nevermind.

I'd easily put UConn on the one line over Louisville. Don't care who they've beaten - on a neutral court in March or April, this UConn teams beats this Louisville team at least 8 out of 10.

But you know that's not how it works.

Well they should, and that's what I try to do - rank according to who I think will be the last one standing in April. Otherwise rankings are irrelevant. As last year showed, you can give Louisville the one seed and UConn the two, but it was pretty obvious who comes to play when all the chips are down.

Well not pretty obvious....... they split 1-1 last season. Maybe if the regional were in Indianapolis or Cincinnati instead of Albany.... maybe the result would have changed.

LSU would be a dangerous pod opponent for NC State in Raleigh.

Wait, so Oregon lost to an unranked team

This is a bit disingenuous. Yeah ASU was unranked a the time but they've since shot up the rankings, currently #16.

Syracuse was ranked #17 when Oregon beat them, but they have revealed themselves to be mediocre this year and are currently 9-8. Does that really count as a win over a ranked team?

I think it matters to the the team's development working on mental toughness and confidence. Especially for a young team. SC has the number #1 ranking now they have the challenge to see if they can continue to earn it each week against teams they should be favored against if they keep doing so.

Is this a weird thing to write that many words about?

overall #1 seed in January?

practically speaking, it doesn't even matter in March.
