My guide in Florida shows baseball on espnu and a women's game on espn2.
That's why I said maybe it depends....where you are

Will both channels feature 'wrap-around' coverage ? It appears that the UConn game is the only one on ESPNU ....and all the games being played around 7:00 pm show ESPN2 and Watch ESPN ....

Per the above - ESPNU will be dedicated (they were today, as well, for the game that featured Navy). ESPN2 will show the home game in protected markets like Connecticut, and will be the featured national game everywhere else. Depending on your carrier, I suspect the home feed may be only on the regular def or on the alternate feed (210 on DirecTV).

Whip around has yet to be seen, except that they show the earliest game until the national starts and then they go to other game-ends after the national ends.

Don't understand why the NCAA tournament doesn't negotiate a better contract with ESPN that requires ESPN to show games on ESPN as well as ESPN2. If more of ESPN network of channels were used, they could also spread out the starting times of the games and more complete games could be seen by fans.

Yep that's what I got. Looks like another ESPN3 after the fact again.

ESPN2. However, ESPNU will be showing the game in its entirety. ESPN is preparing in case the game is a blowout.

TV listing online shows ESPN2 and ESPNU, however ESPNU has a mens game schedule from 6pm to 9pm. I set my DVR s to record all ESPN channels between 6pm and 9 since I have to work

DirecTV, channels 730-733 have been carrying all the womens games not on ESPN, 2 or U

I'm sure if ESPN got decent ratings, it would show more games. I can't imagine that first round NCAA women's games have a huge audience.

The men's tournament was shown on 1 channel until about 3 years ago; and those early round games are a heck of a lot better than the women's ones.

To get those channels you must either pay for the Full Court package or pay $16 per game and ESPN2 and ESPNU have indeed carried the games.
