Let's have some offseason fun!

Four athletes, open to any sport (and only one allowed per sport). We've got tons of options – just for the basketball teams, this would be an absolute bloodbath.

I'll give mine:

Diana Taurasi
Sarah Whalen
George Springer
Ray Allen

Kemba Walker over Rip Hamilton because of 5 in 5 followed by 6 in a row.
Dan Orlovsky

Didn't Walt Dropo play football, basketball and baseball? What sport was he best at in college? I know he was a very good pro baseball player until an injury derailed his career.

How is Stewart being left off so many of these lists?
Can't cram 2 spots on UCONN Mt Rushmore with 2 of Geno's kids. Diana wins here. Stewie never hit something orange.

Why not have two of Geno’s kids? This is UConn Mt.Rushmore not lifetime career Mt.Rushmore

Surprised there aren't more votes for Napier? Man helped us win 2 championships, saved us from what would've been a painful transition from Calhoun, and was arguably our best player ever.

Pains me to leave out Okafor, Moore, Shabazz, KEA, and Lobo. They’re my second team.

The guy who posted it did say only one per sport.

I get Stewart's awards. I'm no women's basketball expert but Taurasi isn't the best UConn player - she is the best female basketball player in history.

George Springer was a first round pick and a WS MVP - maybe if we don't need four sports he doesn't make it but the rules are set up for him to be included.

Since nobody from an ice hockey or olympic sport team jumps out - you may as well take a football player and there really isn't anyone to argue for outside of Orlovsky.

That just leaves whomever you like from the men's basketball team. Early entry has created an uneven playing field. Most would probably take Allen, there are cases for some other guys too.... Smith, Okafor, Larrier... I don't think it's that tough of a call. To me it's Kemba Walker.

Orlovsky
Springer
Taurasi
Walker

Based on the original rules I think we can start looking for the mountain.

I did like that you knew one ice hockey name and tossed it out. Safe to say that Tage Thompson has moved past #17.

Corny Thompson
Vin Clements
Walt Dropo
Rebecca Lobo
I'm a big Dropo fan he's on the Mt. Rushmore for most athletic, but not greatest.

Corny was a great get, but he never really developed here. (Can you imagine what his career would have been like if Calhoun had coached him.)

Clements was before my time. I know he played a couple of years in the NFL, what did he do at UConn?

Taurasi, Walker, Orlovsky, Springer, I guess but we need a bigger wall

How do you keep off Stewart, Ray, Calhoun, Auriema?

Or Lobo, Bazz, Morrone, Stevens?
