Props to Vandy ... they did what they needed to do to get the win. This complaint can't take that away from them and probably did not impact the game's result.

But why do they still run the game clock after an offensive penalty that followed a UCONN timeout!?!?!?!? Renders your timeout absolutely useless!!! I thought Paterno's tirade after the Wisconsin/Penn State offsides kickoffs fiasco fixed that!

So ... UCONN stops Vandy for 2nd and 8 at 2:02. Next play is a big gain, but an offensive penalty of illegal formation and is now 2nd and 13 ... but they spot the ball and run the clock?!?!?!? They snap 2nd and 13 at 1:33. I'd trade those 29 seconds for a penalty against me any day of the week!!!

The explanation is that it was not a dead ball foul. The clock did stop after the play, but the time doesn't go back on.

Those two plays didn't take 30 seconds though. It was at 2:02 when the first play occurred. After the 2nd one it was at 1:33. Neither of those plays took more than 5 or 6 seconds.
