I am primarily a fan of the men's game, but normally catch a few minutes of the women on tv. I think UConn would win a Best of 7 Game Series vs. ND series in 5 games, and the game ND won would be a nail biter. Notre Dame's offense might be efficient, but there is no womens team on UConn's schedule that has even approached their own average offensive output and its not like UConn is in the lower half of the country in team offense either.

Not one ranked team scored above their average vs. UConn. Rutgers came the closest, then UConn pounded them the next two time they played. UConn destroyed the #3 team in the country all three times they played as well.
The team that UConn pounded by 17 while keep them below their season average by 26 points actually scored their season average vs. ND (Maryland). We know about margin of victory. I say whatever (UConn beats their opponents by 10 more points than ND anyway).
UConn played a slightly more difficult schedule (given the rankings) and kept the best of their opponents below their scoring average by 24 points. ND by 12. ND may be the second best team in the country, but thanks to UConn's team defense, it is not close. The rankings from 2-7 may as well be vacated and start back up with ND at #8.
