Geno says that tonight it can't be win by committee; one player will have to step up her game, maybe two. Who do you think it will be?

I woke up thinking of Bria. My money's on her.

I saw a little something more out of Faris in the last game and think we might see more of that tonight. Stepping up does not have to mean, the highest scorer, perhapes it is somebody that goes beyond the standard of their play, and for that I see Faris stepping up.

My primary concern is foul trouble . Kelly won't be helping us much in the first half is she's sitting on the bench with 2 fouls. Same thing w/ Stef. I worry about a game plan that has Kentucky driving to the hoop ...with the intention of having the women run into foul trouble ...and Kentuck taking uncontested foul shots.
I think Kaleena is the player that needs to step up ...not that she hasn't played well thus far ...but she could look to shoot a little more.
Doty ....avoid turnovers.

I think we need Kiah tonight to step up.......As Frank said , it doesn't have to be a scorer to step up. Kiah brings a lot of intangibles to the table. Rebounding , defense , and hopefully 10-to-14 points... Kiah can step up and effect the outcome of this game in many ways. If Kiah has a double-double we win easily. If not we win and its by less than 18pts.

Kentucky is expecting KML , Bria , or Tiffany to do damage, and they are prepared for that. But I doubt they are expecting Stokes to throw some fuel on the fire. Kiah can make this fire uncommonly HOT for the Wildcats. Dolson and Samarie may battle to a draw , and Kentucky doesn't have a reliable backup for its 6'1 post , and we do......... Thats where Kiah can tip the scales, and game , in UConn's favor.

KML. When KML hits the 3's , teams can't zone UCONN to death. All the games that they lost. KML could not find the basket and played poorly. Teams are scared and changed their defense whenever she came in. No one else maybe with the exception of Bria can hit the 3's consistently. With her shooting poorly, there is not much of an outside threat and Stef can be double teamed.

There may be some matchup problems tonight for both teams. When Serah Williams is in the game Wilcats are realistically playing almost with 5 guards. This may cause problems for SD. I think this game will force adjustments to both coaching staffs. I won't be surprised to see five guards at some point tonight. I'm interested to see the "pace " of the game. How both teams react to pressure, and who imposes their will on the other team. I think huskies would want to force wildcats to play half court defense. We know huskies will play great half court defense. Huskies want to get out on breaks, but don't want to get into helter skelter running game jacking up threes. REBOUNDING will be key tonight. TH, Kelis Fisher,KML, and BH are strong rebounders, along with SD and KS. I think rebounding is Huskies advantage.

I don't believe that at all. A repeat of the solid team effort we had against PS would more than suffice. Why does he say that stuff? He's already said several times that we have no super stars. Everybody has to play well.

I expect the player(s) most likely to "step up" will be the one(s) with a vowel at the end of their first name. Sorry, Lauren. Sorry, Heather.

Is y a vowel ?

Is y a vowel ?
OMG! I always wondered why it's AEIOU and sometimes Y.
So if Y is a vowel tonight, UConn is off to Denver. If not, we we feel the consternation of a consonant as time runs out and go back to Storrs.

My money is on Stokes and Dolson.

I'll be very happy with another big helping of that last total team performance. One heartbeat baby...one heartbeat!

Manage turnovers tonight and the team will be okay. I think Samarie may try to do to much and get in foul trouble or be ineffective. Team has to make sure Mathies does not have a big game like she did in their win over Tenn. She scored 34 points in Kentucky's one point win.

Tiffany, to make sure it's not her last game.
I would have said Tiff except for her broken foot. She can't help playing at lower power with an injury, no matter how hard she tries to be Tiffany.

Tiffany, to make sure it's not her last game.
Tiff has even more motivation than the rest of the team. She certainly has the speed to compete with Kentucky. How about 6 steals for Tiff tonight?

Wouldn't it be great if Caroline had a great shooting night against Kentucky???!!

I'm with Sonny, It's a team game and we're the team!
