I think of it this way. The rotation (if healthy) will probably be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10. If 8 it, might be because one of Ice and Ayanna has moved significantly ahead of the other one. I hope Geno uses both, but position wise, they could be substitutes for each other, Aaliyah is probably entrenched as the starter at the 4 and Aubrey could justify minutes there as well, so the lesser of Ice or Ayanna could wind up #9 in a rotation of 8.
Because they bring some differences to the table, if Geno is happy with both he can do more strategic substitutions depending on game conditions and have both of them as part of a rotation of 9. I hope that is the case.
As for a rotation of 10 that depends largely on Amari. Is she rotation ready? If so she could take most if not all of the backup C minutes behind Dorka. If not, I presume Ice is likely to be used in that role. Inez figures to be a backup to the backup most of the time and might not be the first option if one of the four guards was out. Aubrey might fill that role particularly if Caroline or Lou was out, but if the missing player was one counted on to play PG, Nika or Azzi, then using Inez could be a better option than playing Caroline or Lou significantly out of position at the point.
In the backcourt we pretty much know what we have, and which 4 players will consume the vast majority of the minutes. But we are not deep there, and any injury can make a big difference. Up front we have way more depth and could probably cover an injury with not too much of a decline in performance, but many of our talented players are untested, Ice, Ayanna and Amari. How the pecking order plays out there is up in the air and could decide not just who is in the rotation, but how many players are in it.
