he's coaching because of stability, and nobody is going to throw him under the bus now. That would only cause more disruption on the team.

the decision has been made, we're sticking with it

hopefully, Jimmy is back Saturday. The only way JC doesn't return next year is if it's physically impossible. If he can't return next year, we make a switch.

Jim Calhoun said Blaney will coach in his absence. He's still absent, so Blaney will coach. That's it.

I think he was looking for a good reason.

If these are the best reasons why George should continue to be head coach - Houston we have a problem - as they say in the space program.

How is it George's fault the team is an awful offensive team? The 4 players on the bench contribute nothing, AD can't score outside of 8 inches and AO is lost this season.

They actually shot ok yesterday and still got blown out.

Just trying to understand the rationale.

If the CSO of my company has an accident and can't do his job, do they drill down four levels and havemy director run the division? No, the next person in the chain of command takes over his responsibilities. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Exactly. He's the associate head coach. This is his job. There are plently of times where the difference between an experienced head coach and a hall of fame head coach are readily apparent, still, we're lucky to have him.

But guys on message boards have vision! Let's think outside the box!

We should give Ollie a shot tomorrow. If we lose, we'll switch over to Hobbs for the Syracuse game. I think we should save Miller for the Big East tournament - he thrives in a win-or-go-home format. Don't forget about Kevin Freeman too - we should let him run a few practices.

Blaney is the Associate Head Coach. There is likely a clause in his contract that says that he is the Head Coach if Calhoun is not around. Ideally, we would never have to worry about that clause, but such is life.

There's a reason why nobody ever plays Head Coaching musical chairs - it's because it's stupid.
