tim welch? he has been one of sny's regular color guys for years, and has done stuff for espn as well. he has called dozens of uconn games... i actually kinda like him.

Welsh annoys me when he talks his prep work and ignores the actual game. Glaring example last night, when AG threw a pass at Josh's ankles and it went right between his feet. Welsh then spends the next three minutes reciting his prepped speech about how Josh needs to keep the ball high and not try to dribble out of a jam. Salient point, but it had nothing whatsoever to do with what had just happened. If Welsh had been paying attention to the game, he'd have known that. But he was busy thinkng about his next talking point when he noticed Josh bending over for the ball and jumped to the wrong conclusion about what happened, and it triggered his preplanned recitation.
