Who is the bear? | The Boneyard

Who is the bear?

we have black bears in our neighborhood all the time and they are harmless as long as you know they are there and they know you are there. but if the zodiak is bigger than the grizzly as portrayed in Revenant, . I'm not going hiking anywhere near them. And yes, polar bears are even bigger. If you've ever heard any woman use the term "Mama Bear," enuf said. this scene is gripping. Seriously, if you have not seen the movie "The Revenant," do not watch this video.

The Renenant Bear Attack

It’s not a black bear. I have seen a stuffed brown bear, a Grizzly in an Alaska museum. I have had black bears walk right by me in Connecticut acting like I wasn’t there. Trust me, you don’t want to be anywhere near a Grisly. You could have nightmares just looking at their claws and the size differential is big. Saw them running after each other with binoculars in Hoonah Ak from a boat and talk about speed? Without a high powered weapon you would have zero chance. If he’s a bear Tarris is a Grisley.

Great character in a great series. There's a thread about it in the Entertainment section of the yard. Highly recommend, 10/10.

I was on a plane. What did Hurley say about Mazzula?
Maddox made his fifth 3-pointer in eight attempts to tie the game with 30 seconds left. The Musketeers fouled McNeeley and he made his free throws with 12 seconds to go, and, up by two with nine seconds to go, Jayden Ross picked up an off-ball foul in a bonus situation, sending Maddox to the line to tie it.

The foul, while not part of the plan, ended up giving the Huskies the final shot.

“We were being overly aggressive trying to blow up screens at the 3-point line, we were not going to allow a 3. We just were going to chase them off the 3-point line and then obviously not foul at the rim.

It was not by design,” Hurley admitted, quipping that he should’ve lied as he left the interview room.
Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, one of the “analytics guys” who would’ve planned to foul in that situation, and a fan of Big East basketball, spoke with Hurley about the play in the coaches’ locker room after the game. “We had that talk with Mazzulla back there, and it’s an interesting analytical thing to do. But that was not even something that we discussed,” Hurley said. “I’m not some analytic genius.”

The foul on Ross under the basket was pure garbage call - never got reviewed, showed it 2x more on TV with announcers sounding like "huh? where was the foul". Xavier's player just plane jumped and tried to fall off of Ross to the floor and Ross got the whistle.

Not sure if anyone else got that hot take but really this stuff has to be checked. It's embarrasing to the sport when it acts like World Cup soccer players and they get away with it.

Ha. Funny because I only saw the last two minutes and OT (I was on a plane and the wifi didn't allow streaming). I saw the Ross foul and said "that's a good result". You don't want to (a) allow a 3 (b) foul a 3 point shooter or (c) foul at the rim. So a foul with no time off the clock is probably the best result.

What's interesting is that Dan was talking to Mazzula who was in the locker room. What? Why? Did they not follow up on that? Maybe he's scouting McNeeley, who he would LOVE on the Cs.
