Maybe he meant that he wished 2 of the other 6 players on the Olympic team had been UConn players? Because I think I remember Geno saying years ago that Angel and Tamika were the two non-UConn players that he wished he had the chance to coach at Connecticut. Who knows?

Much more likely he was thinking of players on the team he wished had come to UConn. It would be very unseemly, and very unlike him, to engage in this kind of thinking about replacing a couple of his current USA players. Assuming I am right, Catch would probably be #1. Not sure about #2.. Whelan, maybe? He sure likes her a lot.

I have little doubt he was referring to Catchings and Angel....in part based on past compliments to those two in particular.
