per Courant and UConnhuskies.com. There does, however, seem to be some question as to whether he actually will play.

@NotWardeManuel: @FauxCoachP @FauxGDeLeone Make sure Chandlers helmet gets extra bubble wrap this weekend. #TrickShot #MAC10

It's funny how you don't realize how much you need a player until they are injured. I feel much better about this game if Whitmer plays. Johnny Mac is a warrior....but when I saw him reacting to the pass rush last week, I had flashbacks to last year.

Putting aside last week's came, it is truly remarkable that an offense could be as putrid as ours given the success we've had in the passing game. Just statistically remarkable.

Not if you turn the ball over like we do.

We actually have been doing a decent job running the ball lately. We need a good QB to make this O hum. Whitmer isn't there yet.

I'll bet this is a smokescreen and we'll see a JMac / McCummings combo on Saturday. Not that I'm hoping for that but just being realistic. Whitmer wasn't cleared to practice until today but Thursday practice is half pads, no contact, 60-70% speed - refining technique in positions, running thru scripts and schemes in team. Unless Whitmer was really sharp, not that likely he starts (I would definitely be pleasantly surprised!).

I think they'll play it very cautiously, especially with what happened to Osiecki earlier this season.
