While we wait for Friday's game against MSU, here are some interesting stats from the season so far.
1. Both Kia and Saniya have made more baskets from beyond the 3 point arc, than inside it. Kia has 71 threes and 65 two pointers. Saniya has 49 threes and 45 from inside. Katie Lou has 116 threes, but 138 regular baskets.
2. With 2 more steals, 2 more blocks and 12 additional assists, Gabby will have 50 blocks, 100 steals, 200 assists to go with her current 301 rebounds and 507 points.
3. Saniya's assist to turnover ratio is 3.375 (135 vs 40).
4. Napheesa is making 42.9% of her three point attempts. Lou is making 41.9%.
5. Opponents of UConn have 652 turnovers and only 376 assists. (0.57 ratio)
6. Katie Lou has 115 defensive rebounds, 116 threes and 117 assists.
7. UConn's team assist to turnover ratio is 1.99065 (852 to 428).
8. Crystal has made 15 free throws. So has Kyla. But, Crystal also has 113 assists and a blocked shot, Kyla doesn't have a blocked shot.
9. Napheesa, Kia and Saniya average 30.0, 30.4 and 30.6 minutes per game. Katie Lou is at 31.7 per game. Gabby is lowest with 28.9 per game.
10. UConn has more assists (852) than opponents have baskets (775) & UConn has more made free throws (483) than opponents scored points in the 1st quarter of every game combined (417).
11. Despite trying only 7 more threes than the opponents (731 vs 724), UConn has made 95 more baskets from beyond the arc. For the season, UConn makes 40.4% vs 27.6% for the bad guys.
12. Tierney Lawlor has never missed a practice, much less a game.
