In the last 2 years, the Hawks drafted 4 guys between 6'4 and 6'6. There was just a logjam and Rese was the unfortunate casualty.

He's had a lot of good showings in summer league and the G-League, and at least to me, looks like he could be a role player in the NBA in the right situation. I would think there would be quite a few teams who'd be very interested in kicking the tires

Hopefully somebody picks him up. He showed out in the G League last year (18ppg) and had a pretty good Summer League showing (13ppg)

He's old for a 2nd year player at 24 years old, but still 3-4 years until he should theoretically start hitting his prime. He's a big, athletic, tough wing that can shoot good enough to make defenses think about it while being a physical defender and great rebounder. Prototypical NBA wing role player, even if it is in the G League

Fair or not, it’s most likely going to be an uphill battle for Rese. He will have the typical 2nd round fight each year to make the final roster. He will undoubtedly get a camp invite and it will probably come down to the last cut or two. Rinse, repeat.

Everyone has the NBA dream, but I'd go to Europe sooner than later.
