Where was the Paige that played the last 7 games? Geno made reference to it after the game. She was very passive and not aggresive at all.Was Gabby Marshal that good a defender,I don't think so
With CC having an uncharacteristtically bad shooting night thanks in large part to Nika it was set up for Paige to carry the team on her back to the championship game..instead she failed and reverted back to the way she was playing most of the year with 4 rebounds and 3 assists..Clark found other ways to help her team by leading both teams with 9 rebounds and tieing Nika with 7 assists
With 1:10 left on the clock and Uconn down by 4 Paige missed a 3 got the rebound but then tiurned the ball over..thankfully Nika hit a big shot to cut the lead to one but that set up the ending of the game which I guess was a bad call but Uconn should have had a double didgit lead at that point if Paige had played like she had been playing during the tournament
Geno was pretty upset with Paige during the game for not being aggresive enough going around screens..he said the same thing to her during one of the games in the middle of the season when he was yelling at her..
If you want to be the best you have to beat the best especially in the FF..but Paige did'nt step up
