There's now despair.
Where once there was joy, there's now anguish.
Where once there was progress, there's now futility.
Where once there was eagerness, there's now apathy.
Which gave me the hangover? The beer at T.D. Homers or that miserable fiasco that I witnessed on ESPN on 90% of their HD Bigscreens? I opt for the latter.
Interesting sidebar: Sitting & barely noticed in the booth next door was Lou Holtz. He had a peaceful dinner & was calmly sipping his glass of wine after the meal was over. He paid his tab shortly before halftime. As he got up to leave, he took a final look at the screen. As he doddered out, he saw our UConn shirts & rolled his eyes. He KNEW.
