In the post game presser he didn't sound upset, he sounded defeated.

He talks a lot about body language but sitting on the bench with his hand over his face and his shoulders sloped down, isn't that bad body language? What does it say? It sure doesn't communicate toughness. If you're looking for toughness, exhibit some toughness.

The players were scared of Calhoun. I know what his post game presser would have been. I know what his sideline demeanor would have been after that start. There would have been a time out two minute in and a bunch of bodies headed to the bench.

And the refs would be collateral damage.

This is another thing no one brought up last night. His sitting on the bench looking like he was ready to cry does not help. Players often take their cue from the coach and he looks like a defeatist half the time. What happened to the youthful exuberance of a coach that can relate to players like no other?? We are gonna learn if he can coach this year, that's god damn sure.

He did do the defense thing in the first half for a few plays but they kept nailing a 3 in the last 10 seconds of the clock. After awhile it starts looking silly because the energy and BB IQ is not being transferred.

One job as a coach is to continue to implore, to try and steady the hand, to encourage when things are going wrong, to do whatever the damn hell you can to get a reaction. He looked like a kid that didn't get what he wanted for Christmas and decided to sulk for the rest of the day. Did Calhoun ever care how silly he looked w his sideline antics? Hard to command maximum effort from the team when you are exhibiting zero yourself.

There were a couple of situations early on when our guy tried to one hand or tap the rebound rather than grab it with two hands. Calhoun would have immediately sat these guys and KO should have too.

Quite frankly, in listening to Jim talk - one of the things he was most proud of was leading opponents for many years in rebounding margin. It was a hallmark of a tough Jim Calhoun team.
