He went to his man cave for the tourney and watched so much basketball that he just stares at the wall now. His last post was the one that cave woman hit him with to get him to snap out of it.All joking aside,i miss his very informative posts myself.Hope all is well in java land.

Is he OK? Anyone know?
Thanks for noticing. I too miss our BY hominid. I hope all is well and just taking a sabbatical. If anyone especially the man himself has something please give us a heads up.

Also pap49?
I think State laws say that a 'Missing Person's' form can be filed after 72 hrs....I think JavaMan and Pap49 now qualify. Let's get out the hunters and bloodhounds for Java (who could be holed up in a cave with a brontosaurus burger) and FBI for Pap.

Yes, he's okay...after a hiatus. Nice to be missed. Thank you.

BTW, did we win our 11th NC?
Welcome back Java.........You really had many of us worried. I was beginning to think I was going to have to fight off all these maniacs by myself.....:)

Welcome back. Your absence has been noticed by several BYers. People were getting worried when there were no posts from you, especially during the tournament.

Come on, fess up...you were out of sight because you were brokering the Azura Stevens deal, weren't you!?!?!?!?
It makes sense that you're involved with the program's ongoing evolution.

Well, JavaMan ... are you truly back and prepared to start dropping timely posts of newsworthy interest? The strain among several of us trying to fill in was getting pretty intense. So, welcome back ... and get to work! ;) Truly glad to hear from you.

Thanks H! There are maniacs here? Are they wearing orange, green, or garnet? And...who let them in?

Hey! Good to see you again.
Thanks, Zorro. It's good to be seen. ;)

BTW, I like your signature quote. In fact, I had the pleasure of meeting Carl Sagan. A colleague and I were conducting a series of presentations around the country some years ago and we arrived after 7 p.m. local time one evening at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. So, we had a late dinner and commenced to "unwind" ;) and chat for a couple of hours. Feeling fairly loose, we decided to stroll around the large complex and scope out our presentation room for the next morning. The long meandering hallways were pretty much empty, as it was getting late, until we noticed two other gentlemen coming towards us. Being in the gleeful mood that we were, we stopped them to chat. It didn't take long to recognize that we were conversing with Carl Sagan and an associate. He was very cordial and regaled us for about half an hour. At least, that's the way I remember it. He passed a couple of years later. Oh, and no, he was not there for our presentation. Oh well, he was a very nice fellow regardless ...to us, anyway.

interesting... and I always wondered if he changed his name from pap49cba
same M.O.
No name change. Gee, all this time I kind of thought of myself as being quite unique. So, I don't know this pap, but I can already tell he must be a very nice fellow. :D

God I missed you, you hairsute tongue loller. I hope any issues you had were successfully resolved and I'm wishing you the best of health. While you were gone the name was officially changed to "THE" UConn. And of course in a rip roaring episode on Game Of Thrones everyone murdered everyone.
Glorious.
