The UConn Huskies hold the record for consecutive Final Four appearances, with an incredible streak of 14 straight FF appearances between 2008 and 2022.
The current (active) record for consecutive Final Four appearances is 3, by South Carolina.
For the Gamecocks to break UConn's record, the team would have to make every Final Four between 2024 and 2035.

I'm really sad that you didn't count their banner year in 2020. :)

SWERVE: Whose record did UConn beat? My guess is Stanford's 5 from 08-12.

Yes Stanford had a 5 from 08-12, however prior to that, UCONN had a 5 2000-2004.

Notre Dame had a 5 streak. 2011-2015

TN has like 3 streaks of 4. 1986-1989, 1995-1998, 2002-2006

LSU had a 4 streak. 2005-2008

Thanks for the updates to my swerve.

I think the secret to the success UConn and Geno specifically has had in the last 35 years is he recruits the best athletes and he doesn't lose to teams with lesser talent. I think right now Staley is the best recruiter in WCBB but her coaching always leaves you a lane to get an upset if you can take advantage of it. A lot of coaches are great recruiters, and a lot are great at the coaching strategy, but very few are good at both.
