Although I find myself paying a lot more attention to recruiting than in past years, there are many her who are much more tuned in so I would love some expert opinions. Thanks.

Historically the dominos start to fall into place after the July Peach Jam AAU event. The kids set up official visits into September and by that time want to get all the constant calling etc done with. In our case this time, we have been pursuing so many high ranked guards, (including Meleek Thomas, Braylon Mullins, Burries, Adams, Lewis, and at least outreach to McKinney, Acuff), that it is clear we are likely targeting to get 2 guards. Given the recent perception of Hurley as a coaching god, and the flurry of official/unofficial visits here in June, I could see one of these guards committing by the end of July so as not to miss the opportunity by having other similar players commit. I think Thomas knows we would hold a spot for him, and that Mullins really does want to take the visits he has set up into the fall, Burries I hear less about with us, so I'll take a complete hunch that Acaden Lewis will be the first at the end on July.

I've heard squat regarding Niko Bungalo who I would covet as a Karaban replacement. I would think any frontcourt players would be more on the Sept visit schedule, unless Hurley decides to go 'all in' on the portal for the front court in 2025. Tom Moore made it clear we will be very selective with high school recruiting because we have no fear of filling whatever needs we have in the 2025 portal.

You wanted 'expert' opinion and got a 'shmucks' two cents instead. It might not even be worth the free price.

Dont think Hurley would hold a spot for any of these guards, because they are all good, and all slightly different. Any two would be great. They all seem like they can playmake (Less so with Mullins) and they can all score. The pressure should be on these recruits to commit or they will miss out.

Your response was exactly what I was hoping for. Much appreciated.

It will probably get worse next year and the following. I am now resigned to being obsessed 12 mos. of the year but what more could any fan want. The last two years have been out of this world. My expectations are not so high but my hope will always be that way. Basketball Capital of the World.
