The last couple of days Dennis Schroder has been mercilessly mocked for (unwisely) turning down a $84 million extension over 4 years with the Lakers and having to settle for a 1 year, $5.9 million deal with the Celtics for his bad gamble. So in light of Schroder's new "$6 Million Dollar Man" moniker, which I don't think he can trademark, here's a bit of nostalgia for when $6 Million wasn't considered chump change and could supposedly buy lots of cool stuff. I wonder how much it would cost to rebuild Steven Austin in 2021?

His chutzpah in turning down that offer when he belly flopped in the playoffs is astounding. I expect him to try to make up the difference with a GoFundMe page.

Have you tried watching $6M Man episodes lately? They are stunningly boring. First season is okay but after that, it's pretty much unwatchable.

Enjoyed the show as a kid but I'm sure my reaction would be the same as yours if I tried watching it now. The show "jumped the shark" when they had on Bigfoot.

The bionic woman was lame even in the 70s.

She was lame. That was the whole point of the bionic stuff. Well ,not the ear part, but the legs and arm had to be repaired so she wouldn't be lame anymore. BTW, she was from Ojai, Ca. which had such a nice ring to it. Shheez!

No amount of millions would take away the worry of how Geno would allocate the minutes to all of his key players.
Geno's millions probably help that issue. :)
