Maybe it's just a matter of odds that if you play a bazillion hours of hoops in one day, you're going to see the unusual happen more than once. But it seems the ball is a bit on the soft mushy side to get stuck on two long shots. You see it happen when it's blocked into the rim, but the two stuck balls I've seen today were relatively long shots and not from an angle you'd think you'd see the ball get wedged in there.

Steve Kerr mentioned something during the "first four" games that the ball they use now is some sort of "composite" material that is a lot softer than what has been used in the past and is prone to getting stuck between the rim and the backboard.

Well, you know it's pretty humid out.

I didn't hear that. I wonder if it is by design after what we saw last year at -4. The rims seemed so hard that balls were careening off them like super balls last year. It does make sense from a viewer standpoint to use a ball that is more forgiving off the rim to get more offense.
