VCU is a throwback UConn team from the early 90s. They are a press you 90 feet 40 minute team.
Where the game is ugly is both teams seem to be settling for deep Js most of the time. I don't know why they bother even setting the shot clock.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I see VCU burning themselves out by the middle of the 2nd half. I don't think they can keep this up. They need to build a double digit lead playing this way if they wish to pull this out the way they're approaching this game. If I was Shaka (sp?) Smith, I'd press in spurts to keep my team in the game and as fresh as possible. Again, maybe I'm wrong and they can keep this up, or at least not be any more tired than their opponent, but this game has late game burn out written all over it.
Now I have the Shockers in this game, so I'm a bit biased.
