I personally will mention 2 things. Building on the successes of last week by giving our QB more run-pass options and testing the middle of the field more with our Tight Ends. That would do a lot to complement the swing passes we love to run.

Other thoughts from the x's and o's guys?

More variety, we are pretty predictable based on our formations. Over the past 2 games I've seen maybe 2 designed HB runs out of the shotgun and maybe 2 or 3 quick passes (3 step drops, for example) when Sherriffs is under center. How about some pistol plays to mix it up as well?

Set the tone early by mixing up passes and run. Good protection that allows Sherriffs to throw the ball down the field. Running backs attacking the hole instead of dancing. Our backs making it on 3rd and less than a yard. And GETTING THE FRIGGIN' PLAYS IN ON TIME so we don't waste time outs for silly reasons.

A team (and coach) that exhibits: (1) a scheme that does NOT make me think I'm watching a HS football (2) players and coaches who appear to know what to do every second (a.k.a. Houston/Cincinnatti) and don't need 30 seconds to figure it out (3) knowledge how many downs are left in a series (4) skill players for what they offer as opposed to being a statue type decoy (5) a scheme that doesn't make it easy for defense to figure out what is coming their way (5) all of this can be summarized in two words: entertaining & excitement

Add these two.....get the backs blocking through the linebacker level, and look to the tight ends to open up passing .

Go into spread early in the game. Establish tempo and rhythm. When we spread wide, we move the ball. When we run up the middle, we punt. It's really that simple.

Up tempo, no huddle, shotgun. Throw the ball downfield. Attack, Attack, Attack! Stop with the 1950's offense already. Of course we need to establish the run but mix it up and take some chances. We have the weapons on offense to get it done!

My vote for the best post on this tread - and there were a lot of good posts. Keep Bobby-Boy D from making any decisions on the offensive side of ball, including punt returns. On punts . . . catch the ball and get it up field. Attack.

Throw the ball more than you run it. And make him stay in the pocket more like last game where he seemed to give it a chance. Hammer it to Thomas and use the TE's more.

How about use Newsome and get him in space more often? We need to use the pass to set up the run more. We need to pass to tight ends more. We need to call more pass run option plays for BS.

Finally, just go spread the whole time except in short yard situations.
