What do people think UConn has to do to get a NCAA bid.

Beat PITT on Saturday, then two wins in the Big East tournament?

Ideally, but could get in with two more wins.

But the way we have looked lately, three consecutive wins seems highly unlikely.

At this point yes. 2 might get them in, but I'm not hopeful. Probably need 3. Bad loss tonight...hurts the RPI big time.

A lot. This team has lost to Rutty, UT and Prov, not to mention the blowouts to good teams. Almost imperative at this point to get 3 BET wins, with one over a top 1 or 2 seed.

A defribrillator. They need something to give them a little heart. Doesn't answer the question but I couldn't resist.

Did they not have heart against Syracuse last game? Did they not have heart in falling behind Villanova and beating them?

I just don't understand this. The team has issues. Focus, I think. They get sloppy with possessions too frequently, and their defense could use improvement. But they fight.

The way they are playing, the don't deserve it. Let's see what happens against Pitt.

Ryan Burr from ESPN just tweeted that despite the loss we only drop to an 11 in ESPN's bracketology

I'm not sure beating a crappy Villanova team shows heart. Falling 17 behind Syracuse showed me nothing. The fact they can scramble back and lose a close game, not heart either. Winning the Syracuse game would have shown me something. They had no answer in the last 2 minutes against Providence even though they made it look close. I just have not enjoyed watching this group play this year.

Okay. So your definition of heart is just playing well all the time.

My definition is getting up when you get punched in the face. A great boxer can have heart. But so can a mediocre boxer that doesn't give up. Right now, due to periods of lack of focus, they are mediocre boxers taking haymakers, hitting the mat, but then crawling back up before the 10 count only to eventually lose TKO.

They won against Villanova in a game they should have lost given the first 10 minutes. They nearly beat Syracuse when they were down 17 in the second half. They fell apart here, but had 2 shots to tie, and the ball down 3.

Am I happy with those results? No. But it doesn't make me question their hearts.

Beating Pitt on Saturday and Providence in the BET are absolute table stakes. Taking down Cincinnati wouldn't be a bad idea either. Cincinnati is right on the bubble with us, and we could kill two birds with one stone in the second round of the BET.

He added a new tweet as well:
Uconn 5-11 in 2012, 0-5 vs top 25, 5-7 vs top 50...tourny team? Bracketology says yes as a 11 seed

Pray to god he is right... They HAVE to beat Pitt....

Beat Pitt and win 1 game in the conference tournament and were in unless there's a lot of upsets in other conference tournaments.

Keep winning games until they turn the lights out at MSG and then ask them to turn the lights back on so we can play some more.....win games....period...we'll know when it's enough....problem is I don't know if the team realizes they have to win.

How long has it been since we've won 2 games in a row? Seems like December.

Legitimately, another top 50 win. That means winning at least the next 3 maybe 4, if the right opponent isn't there.

To be a lock, we need to win 3 in a row. We need to take care of business against Pitt and against Depaul or Providence on Tuesday. And then, to feel safe, we should win our second round game against probably Cincy.

FYI defibrillators actually stop the heart. The heart then picks up the rhythm on its own after that... Maybe good analogy anyway.
